A Small Cart That Never Rushed to Grow.
From a Cart in Front of a Boarding House, 2018
Ruang Seduh began as a small cart in front of the founder's boarding house, selling milk coffee to passing students. The budget was tight, but the quality of the coffee beans was never compromised from day one.
In 2021 we moved into a small shophouse on Jalan Ijen, but deliberately did not expand too far — just enough for 12 tables, so the atmosphere still feels like a "living room," not a noisy, crowded cafe.
Our Journey
The first cart opened in front of the boarding house, selling only milk coffee and iced black coffee.
Moved into a small shophouse on Jalan Ijen and added homestyle food to the menu.
Partnered directly with 6 coffee farmers in Toraja, Gayo, and Flores, with no middlemen.
